I have a personal reason for my role in the setting up of Pusat Jagaan Nur Salam. For many long years I was under the influence of drugs. Life for me had no choices. I was not in any state to make choices. However, in time, I was able to overcome my addiction problems. I realized the value of life when I overcame my own issues and problems. This experience of mine helped me understand the plight of others who had no means to overcome their problems. It gave me great satisfaction helping others gain a better life. The children of Nur Salam have parents who have many issues that are unresolved.
If we at Nur Salam can empower the community and give them the ability to look forward to a better future, that would give me great satisfaction.
